Positions Held:

• Appointed as the first Director of Institute of Nephro-Urology in Karnataka, an autonomous body under Government of Karnataka.
• Chairman-Authorization Committee for Organ Transplantation in Karnataka.

Academic Achievements:

• Presented various academic papers in Urology and Surgery of various States and National Conferences.
• Had chaired various scientific sessions in Zonal and National Conferences.
• Examiner for Post Graduate (M.Ch Urology) examination at various Universities in India.
• Participated as a faculty in several workshops including Laparoscopic Surgeries.

Awards:

• 1995 – Shastra Chikithsa Praveena by the Hon’ble C.M. of Karnataka for his outstanding performance in the field of surgery.
• 1999 – Kannada Rajyotsava Award from the Government of Karnataka which is awarded to distinguished persons for their contributions to the state of Karnataka.
• 2002 – Distinguished Alumni of J.N. Medical College, Belgaum.
• 2004 – Dr. B.C. Roy Award from I.M.A Karnataka for meritorious performance in the field of teaching and administration.
• 2010 – Doctor’s Day Award instituted by Govt. of Karnataka awarded by His Excellency, The Governor of Karnataka.
• 2011 – Kempegowda Award by Bruhat Bangalore MahanagaraPalike.
